As a singer I perform with the JukeVox Duo and have experience with various functions bands over the years performing at venues including Chester Racecourse, Harrogate Convention Centre, Halifax Piece Hall and Peckforton Castle.
I am a choral soprano and have sung with the Adelphi Choir (Salford Uni), Manchester's Halle Choir, San Diego's La Jolla Symphony Chorus, the Choral Club of San Diego and vocal ensemble Mink Pack. I regularly provide recorded vocals for clients internationally from custom backing vocals and harmonies to given 4 part choral teach tracks.
As a pianist I play for pleasure but have accompanied for soloists and choir as needed.
As a teacher I specialise in vocal skills and harmony, with a full studio schedule teaching contemporary vocals 1-1 and the SingPOP Workshop (group class). I also taught vocal musicianship, theory and ensemble at Leeds Junior Conservatoire 2017-'23. I am the music director for The Yorkshire Songbirds - Ladies choir, and Southowram Harmony - over 50s singing for fun.
Prior to that I was the music director for The Awesome Choir of Rock in Huddersfield, artistic director for the Choral Club of San Diego, and music director for their small ensemble 'Mink Pack'. I provide session singing services (lead and harmony) on Fiverr, and live vocals for JukeVox Duo (and dep work). My choral arrangements are published on SheetMusicPlus with custom teach tracks available to buy direct I teach Rockschool and ABRSM piano, privately, however you can find me giving lessons on the 'Leeds Piano Trail' as part of the Leeds International Piano Competition.
I began piano lessons at age 4 and never looked back! I studied classical voice, piano and music theory as a teenager and enjoyed completing GCSE and A Level Music. I have studied the ABRSM syllabus but am a Pop fan at heart achieving Grade 8 vocals with Rockschool. I graduated from the University of Salford with a 1st Class honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Music specialising in composition and recording. I later gained a PGCE in Secondary Music from Edge Hill University being awarded an 'outstanding' grading for my teaching practice. As a teacher with QTS I've completed numerous CPD sessions, most recently with the Voice Study Centre, Rockschool, Leeds Conservatoire, Chris Johnson (The Naked Vocalist), Cheryl Porter Method, Jeanie LoVetri - Somatic Voiceworks, Kim Chandler, Sing2Beat Parkinsons, & Gareth Ellis - West End MD.
