This smaller ensemble launched in spring 2026 is designed for those singers that want to take their ensemble skills to the next level. With 'Pitch Perfect' style arrangements, a cappella is an awesome and challenging style! Currently open to female voices due to existing arrangement but male voices are most welcome to register interest and we could grow to a mixed ensemble!

🎶 Want to join Retrophonix A Cappella?  Here's how to audition...

1. Pop Song – Pick any pop song you like and record yourself singing a verse and chorus a cappella (no instruments). This shows us how well you stay in key!

2. Harmony Exercise – See the short three-part harmony exercise below with audio guides. Pick one part to learn (scroll A/B/C), then record yourself singing it with the track that’s missing your part. This shows how you blend with others.

Send It In – Submit both recordings (doesn't need to be hi-tech, a phone recording is fine) along with your name and contact info.

Can’t wait to hear your voice and see how you fit into Retrophonix!

Harmony exercise example...

I prefer to sing soprano so I will learn the top part, Part A.

I will listen to the 'Part A guide' and follow the Part A line on the notation.

I will then practice singing Part A against parts B&C using the 'Part A Backing'.

Finally I'll record and send my harmony demo, singing with the backing track.
